Germany is once again the largest importer of Nantong's sausage casings


According to the Nantong Inspection and Quarantine Bureau, in 2017, Nantong exported 20,600 tons of casings ,value to 445 million US dollars, up 11.4% and 35.7% respectively over the same period last year. The export countries or regions including the EU, the United States, Japan, Vietnam and so on, with the annual export volume of 4494.6 tons in Germany, ranked first in all export countries, and Germany once again became the largest importer of Nantong's sausage casings.

Nantong, Jiangsu, is the distribution center of the national import and export of sausage casings. The output and export amount account for more than 40% of the total amount of China, the export to EU counts more than 50% of the total volume. The casing has become the characteristic industry of Nantong, and the casing industry has an active role in promoting the export of foreign exchange and increasing the income of the farmers.
